The Global Talent Development (TD) Team is part of FTI's dynamic Global Human Resources practice. FTI has offices in 30 countries and we support development for all global employees. It is vital for professional services firms to continually develop their employees.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Talent Development Solutions you will have a key role in supporting the content design, coordination, and delivery of our Consulting training programs and events. These events are essential for all of our people in building core capabilities and exceptionally high-standard talent development programs.

This role will help define needs, and help design, develop, and deliver in-person and virtual learning programs in best-practice Business Development capabilities for professional services firms. For work only in this content swim lane, this role will work with and have a dotted line reporting relationship to the TD BD leader. Additionally, this role will help define needs, help design, develop, and deliver content for annual promotion leadership programs and other large development programs, and provide consultative TD support to internal parts of the firm. Major content areas will help leaders develop career coaching capabilities, and best-practice behaviors to engage their teams, sustain a culture of inclusion and belonging, and assist everyone in owning their own career. This role will support development for all levels, across key areas of both business, leadership, and general development, including leveraging the global curriculum comprised of classroom, virtual, e-Learning, and assessments, and may also participate in delivering programs virtually for other regions. All development initiatives support our global values, competencies and leadership attributes.

What You'll Do

At its heart, this is a learning development consultative role (inside the wider talent development team) to internal customers in the billable side of the firm, who are themselves, consultants, at all levels to external customers. Additionally, we support corporate or core operations employees, who also directly support the billable side of the firm.

Requests come from a variety of sources, from the HR community of the customer, from our talent development points of contact within parts of the firm, and from the internal customers themselves. Requests for North and Latin America are approved by the Senior Director, Global Talent Development Solutions (this role's Manager), and then assigned to team members such as you in this role. You then work with those customers and other talent development professionals to understand the need, design development options and review them with the customer, and then execute the chosen solutions.

Involvement in requests may include complete ownership of the project and all its parts from beginning to end, or it may be contributing to just parts of a request and completing only some tasks. Thus, some projects may include only design, while others include only delivery, etc.

This role will have equal parts of internal consulting, evaluating needs, designing training, developing materials, and delivering development programs, both in-person and virtually.

We expect you to work independently and be self-directed to accomplish goals and objectives as assigned. You will ensure the content being delivered is valued and well received and the training programs are run to an exceptionally high standard and to a very senior level.

Responsibilities

Provide input into the global learning strategy and oversee and participate in its effective delivery through the following:
  • Delivering learning programs, whether in person or virtually - Note: pre-pandemic, this role traveled 45% of time facilitating and delivering learning programs in NA cities, with 10 weeks spent each year delivering annual programs in-person, in a variety of venues from hotels to training centers. When we return to post-pandemic life, this level of travel will resume. The majority of our large in-person programs are delivered in New York City and Northern Virginia.
  • Work collaboratively with other talent development professionals to follow standard Instructional Systems Design methods to assess needs, design, develop, deliver, and evaluate business development training, and other training that will improve the coaching and leadership capabilities of our leaders of people, and training in other content areas that will support FTI's values and competencies.
  • Follow professional consulting skills to understand the wants and needs of the internal customer, analyze the data, develop the potential solutions, review the options with the customer, and develop a project management plan for execution.
  • Develop and work from an effective project management methodology for all projects.
  • Provide regular reporting on accomplishments per TD templates. Report on strategic matters and learning initiatives at the appropriate level of detail. Present select accomplishments and reports directly to senior leaders.
  • Assess the quality of our programs and continuously improve learning initiatives based on these results.
  • Work with Global TD in the evolution and delivery of the competency-based curriculum of fundamental, intermediate, and advanced courses as required.
  • Consult as needed with other course managers in the segments. Provide feedback to course managers on developed training.
  • Adhere to National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education (NASBA) CPE guidelines in developing training.
  • Employ adult learning principles and innovation strategies for training design, delivery, and blended learning approaches, including contributing to the firm's LMS and developing e-learning paths and curriculum swim lanes.
  • Continually research and apply best-in-class and new facilitation and training methods and techniques. Maintain knowledge of training and facilitation techniques including the addition of technology and micro-learning by attending workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. Introduce applicable trends in facilitation and training and development for inclusion in offerings.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Qualification: University degree required. CIPD or equivalent professional training qualification desirable.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience designing, developing, and delivering business development training initiatives within an international matrix organization.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years ofexperience designing, developing and delivering training content that improves managers' and leaders' capabilities in coaching their employees for immediate performance and mid-and long-term career development.
  • Virtual training design, development, and delivery experience with Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
  • Professional or Financial Services experience.
  • Formal development and demonstrated expertise in Instructional Systems Design and learning solutions including micro-learning offerings.
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems (LMS) (we use SABA) and E-learning development.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills; outstanding emotional intelligence.
  • Prior vendor management, evaluation, and negotiation experience.
  • Skilled in project management methods and tools. Expert PowerPoint skills and Intermediate Excel skills.
