About the Opportunity:
Candidate acts as a cloud solutions architect, engineer, and advisor to Compass Lexecon Infrastructure, Security, and Architecture Team on all information technology issues and provides technical solutions. Additionally, provides standards, operational models, administration, implementation, and tier 4 support for responsible infrastructure. This position will report directly to the Compass Lexecon Executive Director of Security and Technology.

Additionally, provides standards, operational models, administration, implementation, and tier 4 support for responsible infrastructure. This position will report directly to the Compass Lexecon Executive Director of Security and Technology.
Primary Duties:
- Designs solutions to Microsoft Azure and other vendor cloud environments
- Provide costs analysis of cloud solutions
- Operations monitoring and costs analysis
- Lead efforts in planning, implementation, capacity management, implementation, and support of all Compass Lexecon technology environments
- Works within the Compass Lexecon IT Staff and with practitioners to establish technology requirements that will be used to define and design solutions to
- Serve as escalation point for infrastructure issues and problems
- Maintains documentation and change processes for all responsible infrastructure
- Provide leadership in maintaining in-depth experience with all responsible technologies
- Knowledgeable of local and wide area network concepts and data communications protocols
- Expertise in Azure, Citrix, Microsoft Active Directory, Server OS, and VMware ESX platforms
- Responsible for mentorship and education of technical support staff in regard to current configuration, architecture, and emerging technologies
- B.S. or a B.A. college degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- 2+ years working as a Cloud Solution Architect
- Minimum 5 years' experience in infrastructure engineering preferred
- Experience with configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience with structured, relational or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake, NFS, and Hadoop
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, Bash, SQL, .NET, Java, Python
- Experience in engineering on-premises infrastructure solutions
- Experience in shepherding complex technical challenges to actionable decisions for stakeholders and guiding project teams by building consensus and mediating compromises when necessary
- Demonstrated knowledge of relevant industry trends and standards
- Excellent communication (written & verbal), planning, organization, and administrative skills
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and stressful situations
- Ability to handle and balance multiple critical tasks at the same time
- Interest in working on independent long-term projects
- Ability to grasp fundamentals quickly and instruct others in their use
