About the Role The Accounts Payable Specialist role is a Shared Services position reporting directly to the Accounts Payable Sr. Manager. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the processing of employee expense reports, administering the US corporate cards and managing workflow within the customer service portal. This position is in the Bowie, MD office.

What You'll Do

• Monitor the processing workflow of expense reports within the automated expense reporting tool. Reassign queues as needed

• Audit and enforce compliance as outlined by the global Travel and Expense policy

• Establish and document processes that will result in increased oversight of system bottlenecks

• Assist management on the reporting of key performance indicators • Create and deliver analytics reports to internal customers

• Interact with internal and external customers; responding to Chrome River Support inquiries or requests

• Create and maintain system training documents as needed

• Train end users on system functionality for both invoice and expense modules

• Participate in the annual L&D team's annual new hire training sessions

• Reconcile and provide reporting on all corporate card programs

• Assist management with various tax reconciliations and travel audit processes

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Accounting or related field

• 5+ years of accounts payable or similar experience

• Experience using automated document workflow applications

• Experience with making process improvements and documenting procedures

• Strong time management, prioritization and organization skills

• Decision making, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills PERFORMANCE SKILLS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with personnel at all levels of the organization

• Advanced working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications • Team oriented and dependable with the ability to lead change within the team
