Senior Associate, Global Mobility

About the Role
The Global Mobility Senior Associate provides support to HRBPs, leadership, and other internal stakeholders in all activities involved in the cross-border movement of employees and their families including immigration, tax and relocation. The role will report to the Global Mobility Sr. Manager and play an important role in continuing to grow the function, educating the business on risk mitigation and compliance, and providing subject matter expertise in the areas of global immigration. The Global Mobility Senior Associate will specialize in immigration strategy and case management but work as part of a global team to provide support across all regions and countries where FTI conducts business.
What You'll Do
• Provide guidance to employees, HRBPs and other internal stakeholders for all matters related to global mobility and immigration;
• Support FTI's global immigration program, including coordination of work authorization and visas, expiration tracking and renewal management, periodic review of right-to-work compliance, and strategic long-term immigration planning;
• Coordinate cross-border movement of employees including permanent and fixed-term transfers; • Work with Managers to provide advice to the business on complex cross-border business needs including immigration strategy/risks, mobility best practices, and internal policy compliance; • Assist with compliance reviews that identify areas of risk exposure or non-compliance related to immigration; • Maintain relationship with service providers for immigration, relocation, and tax, to ensure outstanding customer service, policy compliance, and data integrity;
• Stay up-to-date on changing regulations, trends and industry practices, consulting with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed;
• Work closely with other members of the Global Mobility team to report and analyze mobility data to better identify global mobility trends, employee engagement issues, and other opportunities to improve program management;
• Manage vendor invoice review and approval process for all designated Global Mobility vendors.
Education and Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business, HR, or related field; • 2+ years of demonstrated experience in a Global Mobility role or a related role within an immigration services firm; • Strong expertise in US immigration, including non-immigrant work visa categories and the US permanent residence process; • Demonstrated knowledge of global mobility services, best practices, and compliance including but not limited to immigration and relocation; • Strong customer service and cultural adaptability;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the proven ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the business and explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite; • Proactive planning, execution, and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment; • Working knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Peoplesoft a plus.
