The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. Position Overview:
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Frederick National Laboratory is dedicated to improving human health through the discovery and innovation in the biomedical sciences, focusing on cancer, AIDS and emerging infectious diseases.
The Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) directorate works collaboratively and helps to fulfill the mission of Frederick National Laboratory in the areas of biomedical informatics and data science by developing and applying world-leading data science and computing technologies to basic and applied biomedical research challenges, supporting critical operations, developing and delivering national data resources, and employing leading-edge software and data science.
The BIDS Program and Administrative Operations (PAO) group serves the directorate as an operating hub among multiple groups responsible for leading biomedical data science and world-leading data resources supporting cutting-edge biomedical research.

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Financial status reporting; to include updating Focus Point with EAC information, budget development, planning and analysis of project budgets, costs tracking and available funding
- Development of monthly and ad hoc financial status reports to BIDS management, CBIIT and other project stakeholders
- Coordinate and Track Modification Packages submitted
- Facilitate Change Management Process to include Yellow Task, IAR, Cor Concurrences and FCAS responses
- Coordinate new Severable and Non-Severable Task Order documentation requirements
- Provide recommendations for streamlining reporting to increase and improve efficiencies
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation
- In addition to the education requirements, a minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible job-related experience
- Knowledge of government contracting regulations and various contract types, indirect cost pools, forward pricing, Deltek financial software, Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate level of experience with SmartSheet
- Prior experience providing support to multiple programs and process multiple tasks with a proven ability to collect and analyze information
- Advanced level of experience with Excel utilizing spreadsheets, databases, and financial planning tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Possession of a Master's degree
- A minimum of five (5) years experience
- Knowledge of general accounting, financial management and project control concepts
