The Frederick National Laboratory is a Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC) sponsored by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and operated by Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The lab addresses some of the most urgent and intractable problems in the biomedical sciences in cancer and AIDS, drug development and first-in-human clinical trials, applications of nanotechnology in medicine, and rapid response to emerging threats of infectious diseases.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
The Bioinformatics and Computational Science (BACS) directorate works collaboratively and helps to fulfill the mission of Frederick National Laboratory in the areas of biomedical informatics and data science by developing and applying world leading data science and computing technologies to basic and applied biomedical research challenges, supporting critical operations, developing and delivering national data resources, and employing leading-edge software and data science to effectively enable and advance clinical translation.

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure each product release meets well defined high quality standards.
- Develop comprehensive Software test plans, use cases and reports.
- Plan for and develop Automated frameworks and Automation scripts.
- Analyze and document results, report and track software issues, verify and validate fixes as needed.
- Report statuses in meetings.
- Engage in the multiple environments, hw/sw configuration, setup and maintenance.
- Monitor successful completion of projects.
- Work closely with other project team members and government personnel.
- Develop code scripts for Web, Desktop, Java, Client Server, Cloud-based applications and REST APIs.
- Develop performance test scripts, develop Software utilities for Server log extraction using Visual Basic and perform CI/CD using Jenkins/Git.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
- In addition to educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible job-related experience. Experience should include process, equipment and/or systems validation.
