ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

Reporting to the Forensic & Litigation Consulting Segment HR Leader, the Senior Human Resources Generalist will support talent planning strategy and operations for North America. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of partnering closely with management and staff in support of HR related business needs in a dynamic , professional services environment.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

Talent Planning & Staffing:
  • Manage the segment's Talent Planning efforts in partnership with product leaders, hiring managers, segment finance and the Corporate Talent Acquisition team
  • Partner in the development of the strategic hiring plan and work with the various leaders of the Talent Acquisition areas to provide guidance, coordination of recruiting processes including intern programs, campus and experienced hire recruiting.
  • Work with hiring managers to determine additions/changes to quarterly hiring plan
  • Work with hiring managers, recruiters in coordination with the segment Compensation administrator on offer terms
  • Partner with segment's Office Coordinators and Staffing Coordinators in managing cross segment Staffing and Utilization.
  • Partner with business leaders and the Global Mobility team to identify and manage all issues for staff requiring work visas and next steps in their process such as permanent residency. Also work with Global Mobility and other HR Business Partners to manage international transfers.
  • Manage the segment's HR transactions in coordination with FTI's GHRSC and supervises and coaches Associate level support.
  • Coordinate the segment's on-boarding and exit interview processes.
  • Oversee Contractor onboarding/amendment processes

Employee Relations:
  • Provide counsel, assistance, and problem-resolution services to employees at all levels, guided by company policies, labor-law legislation, and state and federal agency requirements.
  • Guide managers and coaches through providing feedback, determining employee needs, implementing performance improvement plans, and navigating interpersonal conflicts and employee grievances.
  • Participate in employee touch-point initiatives that serve to create more HR/Employee interaction, improve retention, and build desired culture in FLC.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience.
  • Ability to work as needed especially during peak times to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to travel.
  • Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s).

  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work with a high degree of self-direction and flexibility, especially with respect to taking initiative, prioritizing multiple tasks, and using good judgment to resolve problems
  • Ability to work with confidential materials and maintain complete discretion
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) and the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels
  • Ability to gather data, consistently track metrics, and prepare reports
  • Work effectively as part of a team yet be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Understand, interpret, and apply general administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in use of standard company software applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
