ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

The HRIS Director is responsible for managing global projects for the identification, implementation/enhancement and deployment of both existing and new HR software applications that help drive the overall strategic vision of HR technology through the company. This role will lead a team through the requirements definition, configuration and testing of software projects as well as support ongoing operational demands of the business. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in HR business process design and a demonstrated track record of success in independently leading cross-functional teams in managing projects with both PeopleSoft on-premises and various cloud-based software packages. Qualified candidates will also have experience in developing HR Technology strategies and roadmaps, leading organizations through technology related change that leads to increased user engagement and adoption and must have the necessary communications, technical and critical thinking skills necessary to drive a team towards optimal outcomes. The role will also, at times, require that the Director participate in configuration, testing and deployment activities alongside the team and can shift from a strategic conversation to performing hands-on query writing, configuration or testing with ease.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

• Leads and/or participates in technology projects across all functions in the Global HR team to include business case development, package selection, project planning and management, requirements gathering, functional specification documentation, solution design, test planning, test execution, status updates, deployment, and post-deployment support.

• Creates and manages team to deliver against an HR Technology strategy that aligns with strategic priorities of the HR function and the firm. • Recommends and implements process improvements to harmonize, standardize and streamline HR processes to effect efficiencies through automation and optimization of the HR solution stack.

• Manages project's scope, budget, and hours estimates; and coordinates resources involved with the software implementation and change controls.

• Generates and maintains key project documents, project plans, project workbooks, status reports, issue and resolution logs, and change control documents.

• Leads a team of three to provides general system support for 8+ separate systems, to include configuration, regular maintenance, troubleshooting, data validation, process testing and delivery of system training.

• Performs project work tasks as required to meet project deadlines and internal client expectations.

• Manages project issues and risks, communicates status and escalates concerns to project sponsors/business owners.

• Manages software and services vendors including review and negotiation of MSAs, SOW pricing for services engagements and software license agreements and upholds vendors to SLA agreements.

• Ability to research information and analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.

• Build and develop a high-performing team and provide attractive project opportunities to meet their career objectives

• Demonstrates proper management of highly sensitive and confidential information.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in an HR Systems role

• 5+ years of previous progressive advancement in an HRIS systems management role

• 5+ years of people management responsibilities

• Deep functional knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 delivered functionality with a solid grasp of underlying architecture limitations, capabilities and management of customizations. Experience managing PeopleSoft Core HCM and Benefits Administration modules.

• Experience managing both PeopleSoft on-prem and other cloud-based best of breed point solutions including SAP/SuccessFactors and other Oracle products.

• Proven experience leading cross-functional projects across Corporate departments and engage in conversations to translate business requirements into technical specifications (e.g. Payroll/Finance).

• Strong project planning and management skills and a proven ability to lead teams to deliver high quality deliverables on time and within budget.

• Ability to effectively plan, set priorities, allocate resources and manage multiple projects simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities to meet deadlines.

• Bachelor's degree.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• HR Systems project/engagement management experience at a consulting firm.

• Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.

• Comfort operating in ambiguity and ability to flex with the changing priorities of a growing business.

• Demonstrated experience in change management with ability to influence HR and business leaders.

• Previous experience with global multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organizations.

• Ability to understand and communicate effectively with technical, functional and administrative resources.

• Advanced level of skill in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data.

• Ability to read, analyze and interpret complex human resources and technology related documents.

• Self-directed with the ability to anticipate stakeholder needs.

• Must be a highly motivated team player with strong customer focus orientation

• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
