About the Role:

The Accounts Payable Specialist II, is responsible for processing and overseeing FTI Consulting's invoice processing. The role also coordinates the response to all departmental inquiries and associated transactions.This may include processing UK and other foreign transactions and troubleshooting any invoice processing issues.

What You'll Do: • Research and respond to escalated and more complex inquiries from internal stakeholders and vendors on account payable issues.

• Document and maintain appropriately-controlled policies and procedures for the department

• Assist team with processing backlogs to meet all deadlines

• Monitor workflow and maintain and respond to department accounting support mailbox

• Ensure adherence to internal control requirements and SOX narratives including maintenance of documentation for accounts payable processes

• Support external auditor requests, including research and analysis of audit questions

• Provide backup support to the handling of wire transfers and perform the completion of requested W8s and W9s forms

• Perform special projects or other duties as requested.

This is a great opportunity for a person with demonstrated leadership skills and strong organization, analytical and account reconciliation skills to provide quality customer service and contribute to developing the department's vision with the Accounts Payable Manager. The Accounts Payable Specialist II will provide training and mentorship to accounts payable team members and other cross functional team members. This person will also maintain professional and technical knowledge by enrolling in online classes, and/or attending seminars and establishing personal networks internally and externally. The Accounts Payable Specialist II will have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships throughout the organization and collaborate with other departments and teams.

Basic Qualifications: • 5+yrs of invoice processing experience

• Experience taking a leading role in projects (ERP implementation a plus) and streamlining processes, as well as researching and resolving internal and external issues in a timely and professional manner

• Professional service firm experience; public company and shared service environment experience a plus

• Experience and knowledge of full-cycle accounts payable processing and basic general ledger accounting skills

• Current or prior experience with ERP System- Elite, Chrome River Workflow, Ticketing System, i.e., ServiceNow, Zendesk

• Knowledge of GAAP and SOP

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
