About the Role

FTI Consulting, Inc., a $1.6B public company, is looking for a mission-focused and process-minded individual to support the company's global technology procurement function. This individual will report to the Director, Procurement. The individual will perform Procurement functions in support of the Company on a Global basis. The successful candidate should have experience in the procurement of technical systems/components, vendor management/negotiations and procurement metrics/ analysis.

What You'll Do

  • Accept Purchase Requests from a wide range of Field Personnel demonstrating varying degrees of technical proficiency.
  • Initiate, issue, receive, and analyze Supplier responses to Requests for Quote.
  • Effectively manage internal approvals to ensure compliance with Company policies and Government regulations as they apply.
  • Issue Purchase Orders ensuring they are accurate, complete, and eligible for Supplier acceptance, and facilitate delivery of goods/services to internal customers as required.
  • Manage Supplier relationships to ensure quality execution of orders sourced.
  • Interact professionally and effectively with Company Leadership, Partner Groups, Project teams, and Peers, and effectively participate as a team member in a geographically diverse peer group organization.
  • Analyze data and prepare reports related to organization activities including transactions, spend, cost savings, and other KPI metrics.
  • Keep abreast with latest trends in market with respect to vendors, their products/services as well as pricing; scout the market for capable suppliers
  • Support the development of new processes and procedures with focus on continual efficiency improvement within the supply chain of the organization.
  • Drive end to end strategic sourcing for global IT/Telecom including hardware, software and services spend.
  • Co-ordinate with other Procurement Buyers and support overall cost reduction efforts at FTI

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or relevant major or equivalent in education and experience.

• 3+ years of technical procurement experience in multiple Information Technology categories, including: Laptop/Desktop Hardware, x86 servers, Mid-range Hardware, Storage, Telecom Hardware and Application Software.

• Experience with online Procure-to-Pay solution is a plus

• Basic understanding of Business/Accounting practices.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as read, interpret, update and maintain spreadsheets.

• Certified Purchasing Manager certification preferred.

Preferred Skills:

• Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel - Advanced, PowerPoint, Access)

• Ability to build trusted partnerships with business stakeholders, internal customers and Suppliers, and proven ability to work with a global team

• Results oriented with strong problem solving skills; Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with tight deadlines.

• Adept at working in a high growth environment and a rapidly changing organization.

• Business process framework design is a plus
