About the Role

The Information Technology Group Applications Architect - Global Information Systems leads and is responsible for the operations of configured COTS and in-house developed applications. The Applications Architect - GIS focuses on the architecture, operational health, management, and monitoring of systems. The role is responsible for the execution and maintenance of operational calendars, use and compliance with FTI Consulting's Change Management Control Process and Incident reporting and tracking. Additional duties may be developed and coordinated upon request by the roles coach, including supporting other IT staff with open and unresolved issues or serving as a backup or alternate, providing support during off-hours, nights, and weekends, resolving outstanding Service Desk inquiries, and traveling periodically, sometimes with little notice.

What You'll Do

• Conceive, design, and oversee the implementation of enterprise applications and systems while overseeing application architecture, development, monitoring, and capacity planning.

• Implement, modify, and configure enterprise software products • Develop, manage, and maintain operational procedures for the daily health of the environment.

• Define and maintain tasks, processes, procedures, and the overall plan used for disaster backup and recovery of their environment.

• Generate and maintain operational metrics for trending. • Ensure deliverables comply with all Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards and match customer requirements

How You'll Grow

The Applications Architect-GIS will have the opportunity to utilize and hone their technical skills, as the person in this role will need to posses a high level of technical/functional expertise and knowledge of best practices, standards, and technologies. The Applications Architect may directly supervise other staff in the completion of projects and assigned tasks as well as proactively engage management as necessary to avoid and resolve issues. The role uses combinations of C#, PowerShell, MS SSIS, SQL, and MDX to solve problems for a diverse group of customers.

Qualifications & Experience • Four Year College Degree or equivalent job experience • 8+ Years of Technical experience; with five years of demonstrable Design experience.

• 1 High-Level Technical Certification • Active business and technical process design and documentation skills • Experience with development of solutions in the Microsoft .Net development platform

• Understands and applies policies and procedures.
