As a Registered Nurse in our Medical ICU Unit you will have the opportunity to provide care to variety of conditions, acuity levels, and treatment plans.
This team cares for patients who are:
Strong skills with IVs, NGs, managing multiple drips and intubated patients is important along with a strong focus on quality-skin breakdown prevention, progressive upright mobility on vented patients, and diligent dressing changes for central line dressings.
In this position you will complete thorough assessments, perform medication administration, develop a holistic plan of care, drain management, post-procedural or post-operative management.
This MICU Unit has 16 beds and is a fast-paced changing environment that includes quickly changing patients and rapid responses. This is a tight knit, team-oriented team who really care about each other. They are a busy group that is constantly moving. Working on this unit will allow you to work with leaders in patient care and provide you the tools you need to grow your career.

- Intubated
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Swan Ganz or pulmonary artery catheters
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP)
- Post-code targeted temperature management
- Bladder pressure monitoring
- Arterial line monitoring
- Drips
- Vents

Responsibilities:
- PRN Plus Requirements - Employees who have work commitments that are at minimum 3 shifts within a 6 week period. Employee must work one weekend shift within 6 weeks and 1 minor holiday.
- Accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
- Responsible for performing patient care delegating patient care tasks and for supervision of other patient care staff.
- Responsible for coordinating the plan of care for a group of assigned patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and abides by policies rules guidelines and procedures.
- Expected to complete tasks timely, including charting, making patient care the number one priority in a teamwork setting and having excellent communication skills and a compassionate heart.
