InGenesis is seeking aLicensed Practical Nurse / LPNto work with our client in Higginsville, MO.In this role, you will monitor patient conditions and assess needs to provide the best possible care.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check call-outs for the day and make sure charts are padded with appropriate forms needed for the call-out (Lab results, EKG, X-Ray results, BP logs and copied MARS for provider).
- Check and prepare MARS pill call cart for pill call and order refills if needed.Ensure the cart is clean and stocked with needed supplies (pill cups and water bottle). Clean MARS pill call cart every time it is returned from pill call.
- Check general pill call cart/Medications for A-J, K-Z, INH and order refills if needed.
- Prepare for ordered labs and EKGs; input patient info into the computer.
- Start call-outs for the day once command post releases traffic via radio.
- Unpack and scan all medications received from EHCC pharmacy. Ensure medications are not expired. Notify EHCC pharmacy of any discrepancies with the shipment the same day.
- Tend to emergencies as they arise.
- Insulin pill call: prepare for Insulin pill and administer at 630am and 2:30pm. Preparation for insulin includes inventorying and pulling sharps objects, re-ordering medications as needed and pulling insulin.
- Clean nurse's station. File charts not in use and make copies of needed paperwork for the next shift.
- Shift report and end of shift counts (narcotics and Sharps) with relieving shift.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of an active, unencumbered, unrestricted and valid Missouri LPN license.
- Ability to work both without immediate supervision and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to provide compassionate and reliable care.
