Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking a Psychiatrist to work with our client. In this role, you will perform in-depth psychotherapy and counseling.

Job Duties
  • Working collaboratively with intra and interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for
  • behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting
  • utilizing an electronic health record system
  • Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing
  • Managing medication
  • Making referrals for specialized care or treatment
  • Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice, ODRC policies, procedures, protocols,
  • and related American Correctional Association standards
  • Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities, including peer reviews
  • Engaging in collaborative agreements, as needed

Minimum Qualifications
  • Certificate to practice medicine.
  • Satisfactory completion of an approved residency training program in psychiatry or formal training.
  • Five (5+) or more years of medical practice limited to psychiatry.
  • Biannual renewal of license with the requirement of 100 hours of continuing education.

Unusual Working Conditions
  • Exposed to dangerous patients and infectious diseases.
  • May require travel to community site(s) under contract with the Department of Mental Health.
