Job Description:

InGenesis is currently seeking aPhysicianwho is board-eligible or board-certified in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine and is experienced in primary care to work with our client. In this role, you will perform routine and emergency medical care of non-specialized nature to patients or inmates in state facilities.The schedule is weekdays - no evenings, weekends, or holidays - and is flexible based on the facility's needs.

Job Duties
  • Examines, diagnoses, and treats patients.
  • Monitors progress, inoculates or vaccinates against communicable diseases.
  • Prescribes medication.
  • Prescribes or administers treatment for acute and chronically ill patients.
  • Performs minor surgery.
  • Performs routine physical examinations of clients or employees.
  • Attends professional meetings, work conferences or interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Consults with other physicians and determines the need for specialized care or treatment.
  • Acts as consultant to other professionals and instructs nursing, technical and para-professional staff.
  • Writes medical evaluations, reports, admission, discharge, and death summaries.
  • Interprets and analyzes laboratory reports, findings, and writes summary.
  • Maintains written account of patient progress.
  • Writes orders and instructions to nursing and support staff.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Certificate to practice medicine issued by State Medical Board.
  • Board certified, or Board eligible in internal medicine, family medicine, or emergency medicine.
  • Previous experience in primary care, subacute nursing home care, or hospital medicine.
  • Biannual renewal with 100 hrs. of continuing education.
