The BI Analyst will work closely with Quench's internal customers to turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions in addition to overall responsibility for the Enterprise Data Warehouse, Data Mart, and Business Intelligence Reporting environments. The BI Analyst will collect requirements from business users to develop reporting and analytics and drive improvements in key business metrics by training end-users on how to use the provided data to impact the business.

Quench has implemented a remote flexible work model, offering remote flexibility while requiring in-person attendance for training, occasional team meetings, and quarterly in-office events.

Essential Functions
  • Translate business needs to technical specifications
  • Design, build and deploy BI solutions
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
  • Develop and update technical documentation
  • Serve as the customer-facing representative of the BI team with end-users, including training of end-users on provided data to ensure the data is used to drive improvements
  • Mentor and support more junior Business Intelligence team members; in addition, lead the Business Intelligence Center of Excellence discussions across Quench


Qualifications

Must have
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Info. Systems, or specialized training
  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist
  • Strong organizational skills, leadership and management ability
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS); working knowledge of relational databases
  • In-depth understanding of database management systems, online analytical processing (OLAP) and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) framework
  • Curious, growth-oriented analytical mindset drawn to problem solving

Must be:
  • Familiar with Reporting/Visualization tools and able to organize/analyze/present data
  • Willing to take initiative and be innovative
  • Consultative and customer-service-oriented in nature in working with the business
  • Able to anticipate, identify, and solve problems through root cause analysis to deliver practical, timely solutions
  • A collaborative team player, with the BI team and across the business
  • Attentive to detail and applies quality assurance testing to all deployments

Nice to have:
  • Salesforce + Microsoft Power BI experience a plus
