JOB OVERVIEW
Leveraging on a solid experience and technical background, the Field Applications Engineer & Trainer provides technical support to the sales team and the customers on the proposal and implementation of Tierra' products and services, providing on-site support and training to customers. He/she reports to Tierra America Sales Director.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Organizes, prepares and manages demos for the presentation of services and products to prospects and customers
- Provides to prospects and customers technical training on the use of products in the start-up phase and new features
- Deals with the implementation and field configuration of the telematics solution, with a particular focus on the hardware aspects (installations, setup)
- Analyzes technological problems in installed systems, verifying the technical resolution and, if necessary, solving them in the field
- Collaborates with Tierra Engineering dept. on field testing, fine-tuning, requirements collection
- Works with marketing and technical support to develop and maintain the appropriate technical information and promotional material to support Tierra America's sales and marketing programs and initiatives
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical Degree (electronic, electrotechnical, mechatronic or similar)
- At least 5 years of solid professional experience in a technical role, such as installation, testing, on-field support or in a laboratory
- Technical Skills: electronic components applied to machines, electrical skills for hardware installation, web and embedded applications, CAN bus systems and data analyzers, Industrial Equipment, Telecommunications and Telematics domain
- Soft Skills: strong customer orientation, listening skills, commercial attitude, ability to intercept and generate need, ability to conciliate technical solution-investment budget-priority
- Availability to travel in the USA
