Summary of Essential Duties:
- Assigning tasks/jobs to the technicians working on the aircraft
- Work with Completions Engineer and Program Manager to define parts required for the completion and assist Spares when necessary with ordering parts
- Assist Maintenance Supervisor with workflow and schedules generating completion flow chart that reflects the goals and objectives set by the company for delivery dates
- When possible, perform hands on presence
- Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all avionics systems that perform functions of communications, navigation, collision avoidance, target acquisition, and automatic aircraft flight control systems
- Ensure that all completion parts and removed parts aircraft parts maintained in a neat and orderly system
- Provide schedule updates through both written and oral communication
- Organize work instructions, technical data, and work orders
- Understand and utilize management tools
- Work in the Quantum computer system regarding sign offs and logging time on jobs
- Service, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and adjust AC and DC power generation, conversion and distribution systems and aircraft batteries
- Work overtime and travel as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years in complex aircraft installations and/or 5 years in a position of avionics and installs.
- Must have working knowledge of test equipment (IFR-4000, IFR-6000, Air Data Test Set, etc.), and procedures associated with General Aviation and Commercial Aviation avionics on different platforms Garmin, Bendix/King, Honeywell, Collins etc., as installed on different air frames.
- This is a fast-paced work environment that performs repairs and installations on platforms from a Turboprop King Air up to a Global with everything in between.
- Knowledge of FAA Regulatory paperwork.
- The ideal candidate will have a FAA A&P certificate with specialty in Avionics.
- Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Three (3) years of experience in avionics and avionics management is preferred.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
- Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain strong attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
- Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in an aviation discipline
- Detailed working knowledge of Quantum.
- 10 years experience supporting aircraft for a 121/135 operations and 145 repair station is desired.
- One year experience in a leadership role/environment
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical principals as applied to aviation and must be able to use/interpret diagrams, blueprints, and technical publications
