Summary of Essential Duties
- Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE).
- Monitor hangar cleanliness to ensure a clean and functional workspace.
- Build racks and shelving to organize the flow of the aircraft maintenance functions.
- Organize office and hangar spaces to provide a better flow
- Stock consumable parts shelves and monitor levels
- Stock flame lockers and monitor levels
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
Working Environment / Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb and work from ladders, and/or walk/stand for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in all temperatures and weather conditions and in an environment with high noise levels.
Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
- Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
- Must understand, read, and write English. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand Spanish a plus but not required.
- Possess high school diploma or GED certification
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft suite of products including Office 365, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Must also have a basic understanding of similar soft wares.
- Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain strong attention to detail.
- Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
- Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
- Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
- Able to use a basic set of hand tools and power tools such as saws and drills.
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, and woodworking.
