Job Description
The Senior Service Manager of Hangar Operations is accountable to the Senior Director of Maintenance Operations. This individual will be the designee during the Senior Director of Maintenance absence.
The Senior Service Manager of Hangar Operations will manage the complete life cycle of the work package for all work for all aircraft. The primary emphasis of this position is managing the aircraft and customers. This person will maintain a good working relationship with the technicians and Crew Chiefs and is essential for delivering a quality product to our customers.

Job Description
The Senior Service Manager of Hangar Operations is accountable to the Senior Director of Maintenance Operations. This individual will be the designee during the Senior Director of Maintenance absence.
The Senior Service Manager of Hangar Operations will manage the complete life cycle of the work package for all work for all aircraft. The primary emphasis of this position is managing the aircraft and customers. This person will maintain a good working relationship with the technicians and Crew Chiefs and is essential for delivering a quality product to our customers.
Summary of Essential Duties:
- Marketing to current and potential customers.
- Communication with customers and assist Planning with preparing cost estimates.
- Greeting of the customer and the receiving of the aircraft. Reviewing list of discrepancies prior to the beginning of work.
- Communication with customer during work to notify of progress and items found during inspection.
- Review work in progress with Crew Chiefs.
- Communication addressing warranty items and obtaining authorization for warranty to work to be accomplished by personnel.
- Review of work package after completion to adjust times and prepare for invoicing.
- Processing of warranty claims.
- Review warranty claims through entire cycle until credit is issued.
- Customer maintenance status sheet creation and updating.
- Scheduling of Manufacturers Factory Training for technicians.
- Assure technicians are informed of all current procedures and any new information
- Responsible for the fueling program to keep within Company and airport authority standards
- Maintaining maintenance efficiencies throughout the project.
- Performs special projects and other duties as assigned or required
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently required to stand, walk, or sit for an extended periods of time or for an entire work shift.
- Occasionally required to climb or balance, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- May be occasionally required to climbs ladders, high spaces, and/or stairs.
- Specific vision required for this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
- May be required to work in confined spaces.
Work Environment:
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart.
- Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace.
- The work environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of college or equivalent technical training, in related field preferred
- FAA Airframe and Power plant license is required.
- Inspection Authorization (IA) desired
- Ten (10) years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- Three (3) years or more of practical corporate aircraft maintenance experience on assigned or similar type of aircraft.
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance planning, along with management oversight of inspections, repairs, and modifications.
- Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required. Experience with CTA/FOS and computerized maintenance tracking software programs is desirable.
- Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations
- Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as needed including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
- Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States .
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Must understand, read, and write English.

- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
- Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
- Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
- Possess a valid driver license and good driving record.
