JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Hangar Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring there are sufficient personnel, equipment, and materials to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities .

Summary of Essential Duties:
  • Work with the Service Managers to coordinate requirements for manpower, material, and aircraft availability for scheduled shift.
  • Responsible for staying familiar with all current maintenance standards and methods.
  • Assign crews to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance based on detail of maintenance to be performed.
  • Supervise aircraft maintenance activities including inspection, overhaul, modifications, maintenance, and repair of aircraft structures, engines, and accessories.
  • Provide priority handling of all maintenance on Company operated aircraft to assure maximum availability of aircraft.
  • Responsible for ensuring there are sufficient parts, lubricants, and materials to accomplish scheduled maintenance activities.
  • Ensure that there is adequate firefighting equipment available at all Repair Stations.
  • Establish standards to determine that adequate safety precautions are observed.
  • Ensure that questions and/or concerns which may arise are evaluated properly, and decisions are given in a timely manner.
  • Be the Maintenance Hangars point of contact during scheduled shift and coordinate outstation maintenance support from the hangar to include parts for AOG situations
  • Oversight of all hangar efficiency initiatives
  • Manage personnel in all hangar activities for assigned shift.
  • Ensure fuel storage is maintained within regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.


Work Environment :
  • Airport ramp/warehouse environment, subject to varied weather conditions and elevated noise levels


Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling
  • Standing on feet for extended periods of time
  • Handle objects up to 70 pounds regularly, up to 100+ pounds occasionally, with assistance from co-workers or tools


Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • FAA Airframe and Power Plant license is required.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver license and good driving record.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism
  • Must pass a DOT required pre-employment drug screen and w illing to submit to and pass FAA and Company mandated random drug and alcohol tests.
  • Able to pass an FAA required 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Operational knowledge of laptop and desktop computers, working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, or related presentation programs. Operational knowledge of Outlook is required. Competency with internet navigation is also required.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
  • Be highly knowledgeable of aircraft manufacturer maintenance manual, inspection and maintenance tasks, applicable portions of the Company's manuals, and Federal Aviation Regulations.
