FTI Consulting Construction Solutions is a leading global provider of commercial management, risk-based advisory, dispute resolution services, and strategic communications counsel on complex projects across all construction and engineering industries.
The Sales/ Business Development Director will be tasked with identifying, pursuing, and closing engagements for our Construction Solutions practice. We are seeking professionals with a proven track record of business development experience, preferably with significant knowledge of the construction industry, project advisory, dispute resolution services, or similar.

The Sales/ Business Development Director will be tasked with identifying, pursuing, and closing engagements for our Construction Solutions practice. We are seeking professionals with a proven track record of business development experience, preferably with significant knowledge of the construction industry, project advisory, dispute resolution services, or similar.
What You'll Do
- Communicate the significant value proposition of the Construction Solutions practice and differentiate our services in the marketplace.
- Establish customer relationships that enable FTI to be viewed as a trusted advisor.
- Instill confidence among clients with your personal credibility and use that to consistently qualify, generate, and execute on opportunities while building an effective pipeline to execute on each phase of the sales process.
- Incorporate knowledge of our products and services, the customer, and key competitors into the sales process and use that knowledge to uncover customer needs and create value-based solutions.
- D evelop, coordinate and assist in client engagement pitches and presentations
- Work effectively as a team member and also facilitate the sales opportunity by providing leadership and orchestrating the internal and external resources needed to effectively manage the sales process.

- You'll further develop a proven track record of business development experience in the Construction Solutions marketplace
- You'll strengthen your relationship management skills and the ability to establish credibility with clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or finance
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry or a related profession
- 8+ years of US and/or Canadian construction litigation experience
- Business development experience with a strong understanding of construction litigation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient knowledge of PC environment and related software including Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access,
- This role requires up to 60% travel
