InGenesis is currently seeking a Licensing Coordinator to work with our client. In this role, you will manage the acquisition and renewal of professional licenses for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with a strong emphasis on securing out-of-state licensure. This role is vital to supporting our virtual care strategy, ensuring that providers are fully credentialed to deliver care across multiple states in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and licensing board requirements.

In this role, you will manage the acquisition and renewal of professional licenses for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), with a strong emphasis on securing out-of-state licensure. This role is vital to supporting our virtual care strategy, ensuring that providers are fully credentialed to deliver care across multiple states in compliance with all regulatory, institutional, and licensing board requirements.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate the full life cycle of out-of-state licensure and renewals for APPs across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain a robust tracking system for licensing timelines, documentation, and regulatory deadlines.
- Ensure timely and complete submission of license applications, including fingerprints, verifications, and state-specific requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between APPs, internal departments, and state licensing boards.
- Provide timely updates and guidance to APPs on evolving licensing requirements.
- Maintain accurate and compliant licensing records within the credentialing database.
- Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure audit-ready records.
- Develop and update SOPs, workflow guides, and reference materials.
- Collaborate with credentialing and compliance teams to support provider onboarding and privileging.
- Assist with audits, compliance initiatives, and reporting related to licensure.
- Provide occasional administrative support to credentialing team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of office experience in medical staff services, credentialing, licensing, or related fields
- 5 years of experience in a medical staff office or quality setting with direct credentialing or licensing responsibilities is preferred
- Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) is preferred, such as:
- CPCS (Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist)
- CPMSM (Certified Professional Medical Services Management)
