Quality Assurance Data Analyst

Overview
Provide support and knowledge for extraction, transformation, analysis, interpretation maintenance and documentation of data from multiple sources for quality report development and delivery. Possess and apply expertise and function as an analyst with excellent math and logic skills, strong attention to detail, and the desire to learn new tools and strategies. Assignments require interfacing with, understanding, interpreting, documenting, manipulating and presenting system and client generated data within an established process.
Proactively identify and address potential problems and mitigate risk by documenting corrective actions taken and provide recommendations in response to analytics results. Create data spreadsheets, reports and other data visualizations and tools to track progress to inform continuous quality improvement. Collaborate with client and contractor resources to collect, understand and interpret data for delivery to the client.
Responsible for developing, analyzing and presenting reports that provide quick insights into key operational challenges, incidents, and issues. Possess acute attention to detail, accountability, and excellent collaboration, and hands-on experience with sourcing, enriching, analyzing, and reporting data. The primary function will be to create and maintain existing process, approach and solutions while gaining guided experience in the advanced reporting functions to enable increased responsibility and ultimately ownership, over time.
Responsibilities
a. Conduct data collection, processing, organization, maintenance, and analysis.
b. Identify and validate data from multiple sources, including internal and external sources.
c. Construct models that represent process, system, and operational service delivery and manipulate the models using mathematical, statistical, computer, or other techniques.
d. Review and improve data and analytics processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
e. Maintain report for monitoring status of trouble tickets by queue and individual.
f. Monitor and maintain the model used to monitor server availability against service level objectives.
g. Updated Work Instruction (WI) and Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) templates.
h. Update Program Management Plan (PMP) and Quality Control Plan (QCP).
i. Perform self-assessment of performance against quality assurance surveillance plan and author semi-annual report.
j. Maintain macro-enabled spreadsheets used to accomplish various business functions.
k. Support existing tools used to perform floor checks of timesheets for contract compliance.
l. Apply analytical techniques in innovative ways.
m. Development of database, reports, and products to summarize data.
Skillset:
a. Intermediate to advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel.
b. Intermediate/advanced mathematical, statistical, and/or other quantitative abilities.
c. Prior experience in creating, managing, and maintaining Excel data.
d. Strong ability to communicate results, findings, issues, and insights within a team environment.
Qualifications
e. Ability to recognize patterns and trends in medium to large data sets.
f. Technical skills including maintenance, trouble shooting and creation of:
a) Visual Basic macros (.xlsm spreadsheets)
b) Templates with macros (.xltm spreadsheets)
c) Advanced Filtering
d) Data Queries & Connections
e) Data Import
f) Named Ranges
g) Formatting (e.g., as a custom format, what does ;;; do?), including Conditional Formatting
h) Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts
i) Freeze Panes and Filtering
j) Basic Excel Formulas (e.g., SUM, COUNT, COUNTA)
k) Advanced Excel Formulas (e.g., SUMPRODUCT, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, COUNTIF, COUNTIFS, SUMIF, SUMIFS, CHAR, CLEAN, CODE, LEN, TRIM, INDIRECT, ISERROR, ISNA, INDEX, MATCH, OFFSET, DATE, DATEVALUE)
g. Problem solving, organization, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
h. Complete assignments without direct supervision
i. Excellent work ethic and dedication to schedule commitments.
Essential Education/Certifications/Clearance:
Education - Bachelors degree. Statistics, Analytics, Business/Systems Analyst disciplines are preferred.
Experience - Successful candidates typically have two (2) or more years of relevant experience.
Technical Certification - N/A
Security Clearance - Must pass a Public Trust background investigation.
Travel - Infrequent travel locally and nationally may be required.
