PRIMARY DUTIES:

The Staff accountant performs a variety of general support tasks to support our accounting teams. This role provides accounting and administrative support to the accounting department including the following activities:
  • Perform general ledger maintenance activities including processing Chart of Accounts requests for updating legal entities, accounts, cost centers and location codes, documenting supports and obtaining proper approvals and tracking all changes.
  • Closely work with Financial and HR system support teams to coordinate the new location, cost centers, legal entities and accounts set up.
  • Update and maintain account posting attribute rules in ERP.
  • Blackline reconciliation system administration including reconciliation assignment and account grouping maintenance per requests from regional accounting teams.
  • Oversee general ledger support inbox to respond to GL related inquiries and requests.
  • Assist corporate overhead departments with proper coding of invoices and expenses
  • Process monthly rent payments for North America office locations.
  • Support fixed asset processes including new addition input, pulling invoices from Chrome River AP system for documentation etc.
  • Prepare monthly recurring journal entries as assigned
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of select G/L accounts
  • Investigate questionable data and recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in special projects as needed
  • Other duties as directed by the Manager, NACA Accounting.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree or relevant certification (College degree is preferred)
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadline requirements and multi-task projects .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment .
  • Excellent Customer service skills .
  • Ability to travel, if requested.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • Excellent working knowledge of PC and network environments and high competency in use of Excel and other MS office tools.
