About The Role
The Senior Instructional Designer is part of FTI's dynamic Global Human Resources practice and will report to the Managing Director of Global Talent Development. The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for assisting with the strategy and implementation of FTI's professional digital, e-learning development framework and curriculum, across all levels, functional areas and geographies, to build the requisite skills for professionals to deliver business results.

This position will liaise with the Learning Solutions Team which is responsible for program design and delivery and is responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with HR Directors in other Global L&D Functions to create learning paths, develop plans to build the capabilities, and deliver the FTI Curriculum. Your responsibilities will be to provide input into the global learning strategy and oversee and participate in its effective delivery through the following:

About The Role

- Capability Design, Development and Delivery
This position will liaise with the Learning Solutions Team which is responsible for program design and delivery and is responsible for developing and maintaining key relationships with HR Directors in other Global L&D Functions to create learning paths, develop plans to build the capabilities, and deliver the FTI Curriculum. Your responsibilities will be to provide input into the global learning strategy and oversee and participate in its effective delivery through the following:
Instructional Design and Development
- Be the Global Talent Development architect of ISD advancements - to lift and proliferate our brand to elevate Global Talent Development and support FTI in advancing the learning experience.
- Create a distinctive look and feel that sets our programs apart while maintaining the right level of brand compliance. This includes designing and developing the look and feel of our learning programs and brand images and templates for all global design products.
- Contribute to the instructional systems design and development of blended learning programs that meet the demand needs of internal customers in alignment with global priorities.
- Create engaging learning activities, exercises, and compelling course content that enhances the learning process, retention, and knowledge transfer.
- Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods.
- Create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.).
- Employ adult learning principles and innovation strategies.
- Adhere to National Association of State Boards of Accountancy Continuing Professional Education (NASBA) CPE guidelines in developing training.
- Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate customized digital and e-learning solutions for segments and sub-segments.
- Work with SMEs and internal clients to synthesize content, develop scripts, and produce digital and live learning experiences that support knowledge acquisition and application. This includes, but is not limited to, video animations, interactive interfaces, simulations, screencasts, infographics, and other digital or non-digital training resources.
- Develop performance-based learning objectives and ensure training products are designed and to achieve those objectives through effective design practices, testing, and other UX best practices.
- Partner with the Solutions team to create new assets for courses.
- Consult on in-person training programs and transform those programs into on-line solutions with the required editing, redesign, and customization to maintain and enhance.
- Lead the eLearning content review process for subject matter experts and other designers.
Capability Design, Development and Delivery
- Effectively manage projects, integrate information from a variety of resources and arrive at optimal solutions, effectively prepare for meetings to drive purpose/objectives, and manage project scope inclusive of changes that may occur throughout.
- Own a key area Capability such as Consulting Skills in the creation of a competency-based curriculum of fundamental, intermediate, and advanced courses. Design a tiered, curated learning path for that capability.
- Create products that complement the suite of training solutions which include in-person training, webinars, videos, on-demand content, and micro-learning.
- Utilize expert facilitation and training techniques and instructional design to deliver programs.
- Assess the quality of our programs and continuously improve learning initiatives based on these results.
- Consult as needed with other course managers in the segments. Provide feedback to course managers on developed training.

What You Will Need To Succeed
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Instructional Design, Multi-Media Design, Instructional Technology.
- 5+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in virtual & in person l earning & development, curriculum development, and training solutions.
- 3+ years of expert E-learning development experience developing e-learning authoring tools (such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, etc.), and graphic tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) solutions using multiple software platforms; developing and editing animated e-learning solutions; creating and editing video.
- Knowledge of different learning technologies and formats and ability to recommend the best approach based on the uniqueness of each situation (.MP4, SCORM or xAPI).

- Skills in desktop publishing software (MS Publisher, InDesign, etc.), HTML editing tools (Adobe Dreamweaver, etc.).
