About the Opportunity

Within the Corporate Finance segment, the Office of the CFO practice offers solutions to manage the CFO's inbox for a company that is maximizing its performance and positioned to meet today's increasing challenges. The performance expectation for the finance function is at a new peak and the demands placed on a CFO have never been greater. As a result, key areas of focus for this practice line are:

• Financial Transformation
• Finance Performance Management, including Business Planning & Performance Analytics
• Accounting Risk Management, Corporate Reporting & Accounting Process Improvement
• M&A deals, Merger Integration, Carve-Outs, and Spin-Offs
• Event Readiness
• Interim Management

Key responsibilities:

This hire will be a critical team member to help execute client engagements. This role also carries practice development responsibilities in addition to client work. Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Supporting the Senior Managing Directors and in continuing to build and grow the practice. Developing knowledge management, including tools, methodologies, reports, models, work plans, checklists and processes.

• Performing high quality client work and developing client relationships for CFO advisory service assignments, including taking a proactive approach and anticipating client needs.

• Assisting with practice development and marketing, including developing materials, surveys, events and case studies.

• Participating in writing thought leadership pieces relevant to CFOs and the OCFO practice.

Basic qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in a business related major or economics.
• Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience working in financial management consulting or a mix of corporate finance and accounting and consulting roles.
• Ability to travel up to 80%.
• Deep expertise in the Chemicals Sector

Preferred skills:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) certification or MBA is preferred but not required.
• Experience with business intelligence or data analytics tools is preferred but not required.
• Expertise with Microsoft Excel and strong ability to develop financial models with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to gain the confidence and respect of senior level executives.
• Qualified candidates will view themselves as having superior leadership and technical skills, excellent project management and communication skills, as well as a sense of urgency and drive to help FTI service its clients.
• Results Orientation: Strong track record of delivery with strong reputation as a reliable consultant with a CFO advisory background, and an ability to meet clients' needs with great attention to detail.
