Provides day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware. Installs, configures and troubleshoots desktop systems, workstations, servers and network issues in a heterogeneous environment. Maintains passwords, data integrity and file system security for the desktop environment. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel. Recommends hardware and software solutions, including new acquisitions and upgrades. May participate in development of information technology and infrastructure projects. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization's computer users about basic and specialized applications. > May be internal or external, client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions. May include company-wide, web-enabled solutions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes: Experience supporting Windows 10, 8.x, 7, XP. Proven track record in customer service. Knowledge of basic Active Directory administration. Basic DNS and DHCP knowledge and troubleshooting. Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. Excellent oral and written communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team and effectively prioritize workload.
Education and Experience: 4+ years' experience in desktop support in a professional environment is required.
Experience supporting standard security applications in an Enterprise environment (anti-virus, anti-spam, network access control, hard disk encryption, patch management & remediation.) Knowledge of Active Directory architecture and administration. Bachelor's degree preferred - equivalent work experience will be considered. Proficient with all Microsoft Office Applications.
